Make sure your woolly toes are neatly brushed for our celebration of Bilbo and Frodo’s birthday!
Join us for a Hobbit-style potluck of Middle-earth dishes on September 22, 2014 at 6:30 PM!
LOTR cosplay is, of course, encouraged at this event. Hobbits are hospitable and will welcome any wizards, elves, dwarves, ents, and even orcs that care to attend. Gollum might prevail upon the pity of Frodo, but trolls will be turned away at the door unless they are very well behaved and promise not to eat other guests. Even burrahobbits.
Attendees are invited to prepare songs or poems to contribute to the evening’s entertainment, either Tolkien’s or their own original work in homage to Tolkien. UMD’s own Matthew Rice will lead off the festivities by singing his original composition “The Ballad of Bill the Pony.”
“Nice appetizers, Bilbo. But where’s the real food?”
